Cafe Negril · Frenchmen Street · New Orleans

Help recreate a beloved Bob Marley mural with the original artist, Dwayne Conrad. Join us in restoring a cherished piece of New Orleans art and culture.

The Story

More Than a Mural

For years, a vibrant Bob Marley mural graced the walls of Cafe Negril on Frenchmen Street — the heart of New Orleans’ live music scene. It wasn’t just decoration. It was a landmark, a meeting point, a piece of the city’s soul.

When required fireproofing work covered the original mural, the community felt its absence deeply. Now, we’re bringing it back — with the original artist, Dwayne Conrad, leading the recreation.

This isn’t just about paint on a wall. It’s about preserving culture, honoring artistry, and keeping the spirit of music alive in the place where it matters most.
